Softball Recap: Wheatley Comes Up Short on the Road Against Lynbrook

Wheatley had to start their season on the road on Wednesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Lynbrook Owls by a score of 9-7. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Owls apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2018.

The win made it two in a row for Lynbrook and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Lynbrook has already played their next game, a 13-0 defeat against Long Beach on the 4th. Hopefully Wheatley payed attention to the Owls' match: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Owls at 5:00 p.m. on May 2.
