Football Recap: Paetow Takes a Loss + How To Watch

It was a proper cat-fight when Paetow took on Cinco Ranch on Friday. The matchup between the Panthers and the Cougars didn't end well, with the Panthers falling 41-27. The Panthers were down 41-20 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Despite the loss, Paetow still got an impressive performance from Jovan Rodriguez, who rushed for 242 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 8.1 yards per carry. Rodriguez showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 69 yards.

Cinco Ranch's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jacob Chevez, who picked up 153 receiving yards and four touchdowns. Those four receiving touchdowns gave Chevez a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Davis Roup, who threw for 199 yards and four TDs.

Paetow's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Cinco Ranch, they pushed their record up to 4-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Paetow has already played their next game, a 28-3 win against Seven Lakes on the 16th. As for Cinco Ranch, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 35-28 victory against Tompkins on the 17th.
