Recap: Lake Weir Hurricanes vs. Williston Red Devils
This season hasn't been kind to the Lake Weir Hurricanes, who are still winless after their fourth contest. They were beaten by Williston 58-13 on Saturday. Lake Weir was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-7.
Leading Williston to victory were Delecia Dallas and Kaelynn Brown. Dallas scored 12 points, while Brown scored 11 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Another player making a difference was Natreana Akanni , who scored 8 points.
Lake Weir has fallen quite a ways from their 14-7 record last season and are now at 0-4. As for Williston, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Weir will face off against West Port at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Port has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Williston, they will head out on the road to face off against North Marion at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
