Football Recap: Lucas Hartung and Gavin Herrington Pace Mifflin County Defense

While Mifflin County's victory against Palmyra wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Huskies had just enough and edged out the Cougars 8-6. The win continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won four in a row.

Mifflin County found their leader in sophomore Gavin Herrington, who picked up a sack and made six total tackles (2.0 for loss) in addition to snagging an interception. Jaxon Strohecker also put up a rushing touchdown, which was his first of the season.

Mifflin County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Lucas Hartung and Herrington. Herrington also posted a sack, which is notable because Mifflin County is 2-1 when he posts at least one sack, but 1-2 otherwise.

The victory got Mifflin County back to even at 3-3. As for Palmyra, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
