Volleyball Recap: Lutheran West's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Lutheran West can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Conneaut Spartans.

Lutheran West can attribute much of their success to Hannah Bryda, who had five digs and five aces. That's the most aces Bryda has posted over her last seven contests. Mariah Horvath also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Lutheran West was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. They are 6-2 when they serve at least ten aces.

Lutheran West's record is now 6-8. As for Conneaut, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.

Coming up, Lutheran West will square off against Hawken at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Conneaut, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Madison on the 23rd.
