Orting and Fife are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2018, but likely not for long. The Cardinals will be playing at home against the Trojans at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Orting will aim to continue their five-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
Orting is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Foss get on the board and left with a 22-0 victory on Monday. The Cardinals haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.
Macy Sullenger made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. Sullenger was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one home run and five RBI. Those RBI were her first of the season.

In other batting news, Taryn Janosik was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with four RBI and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Alwina Alokoa was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.
Orting was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .630. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.
For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Fife and Franklin Pierce have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. The Trojans came up short against the Cardinals, falling 14-2. Having soared to a lofty 21 runs in the game before, the Trojans couldn't push the score so high this time.
Orting's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Fife, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 6-4.
Wednesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Orting hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .347. However, it's not like Fife struggles in that department as they've averaged .340. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
