Baseball Recap: Cloudland Comes Up Short

Cloudland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 20th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 16-2 to the North Greene Huskies. If the Highlanders were looking for revenge after losing 18-0 to the Huskies when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Cloudland saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Walker Gouge, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-1. Tristin Lowery also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Cloudland's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for North Greene, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

While Cloudland had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
