Basketball Recap: South Atlanta Piles Up the Points Against Redan

South Atlanta waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They really took it to the Redan Raiders for the full four quarters, racking up a 58-26 win. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-8.

South Atlanta's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Duor Duor, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds. Duor has been hot recently, having also posted two or more blocks the last three times he's played. Keylan Pope was another key player, going 5 of 9 to rack up 12 points.

South Atlanta smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 24 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Despite the loss, Redan still got an impressive performance from Noah Melton, who posted nine points and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Tae Beavers, who scored four points and seven boards.

South Atlanta's victory bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Redan, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.

South Atlanta has already played their next contest, a 49-48 loss against Columbia on the 31st. As for Redan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 60-57 win against Drew Charter on the 31st.
