The Stone Ridge Christian Knights are taking a road trip to take on the Waterford Wildcats at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Stone Ridge Christian will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Last Friday, Stone Ridge Christian beat Delhi 13-6.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Waterford). They strolled past Le Grand with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 38-21. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Wildcats considering their six-point performance the contest before.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Waterford to victory, but perhaps none more so than Christian Gayle, who picked up 104 receiving yards and four touchdowns. Bryan Martinez was another key passer, throwing for 194 yards and four touchdowns.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Waterford was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 201 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in August of 2023.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Waterford's defense and their four sacks. Danny Mercado was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up twohimself.

Stone Ridge Christian's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Waterford, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Everything went Stone Ridge Christian's way against Waterford in their previous meeting back in August of 2022, as Stone Ridge Christian made off with a 51-27 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Stone Ridge Christian since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
