Soccer Recap: Bear River Comes Up Short

Bear River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mountain Crest Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Mountain Crest this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-3 back in March.

Bear River's goal came courtesy of Gustavo Lagones, who's now up to two this season.

Bear River's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Mountain Crest, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.

Looking ahead, Bear River will square off against Green Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bear River's defense better be ready for this one: Green Canyon have averaged an impressive 3 goals per game this season. As for Mountain Crest, they will face off against Sky View at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sky View will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Mountain Crest surely won't give up without a fight.
