Basketball Recap: Madill Takes a Loss

Madill was the 57-35 winner over Hugo when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Madill Wildcats had to suffer through a 67-37 loss at the hands of the Hugo Buffaloes. The contest marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Madill has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season. As for Hugo, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Madill Wildcats challenge the Durant Lions at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hugo, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Valliant at 8:00 p.m. on January 31st.
