            There's no place like home for Deuel, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Flandreau Fliers on Tuesday, sneaking past  4-2. The Cardinals haven't had any issues with the Fliers recently, as the game was their third consecutive  win against them.

 Katrina Hagberg made a big impact no matter where she played. She  struck out 16 batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   four  hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  tossed less than seven  strikeouts any time she's  pitched this season. She was also big at the plate,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with one  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI.
 Hagberg wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Lorelai Grund, who  went 1-for-3 with one  run and one  double. That  double was  Grund's first of the season.
Deuel's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Flandreau, they moved to 9-6 with that  loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.
 Coming up, Deuel will face off against Sioux Valley at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Flandreau, they will head out to  face off against McCook Central/Montrose  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Fighting Cougars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.88  runs per game on average), something the Fliers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
