Football Game Preview: Plant Panthers vs. Berkeley Prep Buccaneers + How To Watch

The Plant Panthers will square off against the Berkeley Prep Buccaneers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Plant took a loss when they played away from home back in September, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They strolled past Wharton with points to spare, taking the game 28-12. The victory was some much needed relief for the Panthers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Berkeley Prep and Tampa Catholic had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Buccaneers came out on top against the Crusaders by a score of 19-7 on Friday. The Buccaneers haven't had any issues with the Crusaders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Plant better keep an eye on Luby Jones Jr. He was instrumental in Berkeley Prep's win, rushing for 73 yards and a pair of TDs. They also got a significant boost from Matt White, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 89 yards.

Berkeley Prep didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Tampa Catholic to a completion percentage of just 47.4%. The team can thank Ben Linsky for the heroic effort on defense: he.
