Softball Recap: Dequincy's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

DeQuincy won the last time they faced East Beauregard and things went their way on Tuesday too. The DeQuincy Tigers came out on top against the East Beauregard Trojans by a score of 10-7. The win was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Bella Moore spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and six unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up eight Ks. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in strikeouts.

At the plate, Emily Cooley was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubree Royer, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

DeQuincy's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for East Beauregard, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. DeQuincy will challenge Jennings at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Jennings is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.1 runs per game this season. As for East Beauregard, they will take on Pickering at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be Pickering's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
