Foley had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 2-3 to make it four. They took a blow against the Mary G. Montgomery Vikings, falling 50-7. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 21-0.

Mary G. Montgomery's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kamron Smith led the charge by rushing for 146 yards and one score while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Smith is now averaging an impressive 108.4 rushing yards per game. Another rusher making a difference was Thomas White, who rushed for 85 yards and a pair of TDs on only six carries.

Foley will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Fairhope at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. As for Mary G. Montgomery, they will take on Baldwin County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
