Volleyball Game Preview: Lincoln Patriots vs. Watertown Arrows

After both having extra time off, the Lincoln Patriots and the Watertown Arrows will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 12:45 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Lincoln is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Everything went their way against Yankton as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Bucks/Gazelles recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Lincoln was especially dominant in the third set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-21, 25-13.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Watertown, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They blew past Huron 3-0 on Thursday. The Arrows not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 23rd (when they won 3-0).

Watertown walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 28-26, 25-13.

Lincoln's win bumped their record up to 19-5. As for Watertown, their victory bumped their record up to 21-9.

Lincoln took their win against Watertown when the teams last played back in October by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
