Basketball Recap: King's Christian Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

If The Pilgrim Academy wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played King's Christian, they should've done a better job of containing Vivian Galvis. The King's Christian Knights enjoyed a cozy 40-25 victory over The Pilgrim Academy Pioneers on Friday thanks in part to Galvis, who went 8 of 19 en route to 16 points and eight steals. Galvis is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least six every time she's taken the court this season.

The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Welsh, who posted eight points along with five assists and three steals. That's the most assists she has posted since back in January.

King's Christian's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-3. As for The Pilgrim Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

As for The Pilgrim Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pleasantville at 4:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
