Basketball Recap: Abby Chaney Key Part of a Team Effort in Indians Win

Plainview won the last time they faced Crossings Christian and things went their way on Friday too. The Plainview Indians walked away with a 44-32 victory over the Crossings Christian Knights. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Plainview's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Abby Chaney, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 boards. Those 13 rebounds gave Chaney a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kali Williamson, who went 5 of 8 on her way to 11 points.

Plainview now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Crossings Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Plainview didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 46-33 victory against Marietta on the 14th. As for Crossings Christian, they will host Mount St. Mary at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
