Football Recap: DasCHE Takes a Loss

After soaring to 34 points the game before, DasCHE was a bit more limited in their matchup on Saturday. They were dealt a 58-8 defeat at the hands of the Mercy Culture Prep Royals. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Royals apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2019.

A big part of Mercy Culture Prep's win came down to the chemistry between Gage Seely and his top target Walker Hughes. Seely threw for 114 yards and five touchdowns while completing 86.7% of his passes while Hughes gained 61 total yards and three touchdowns. Hughes also hauled in two receiving touchdowns, which is notable because Mercy Culture Prep is undefeated when he posts at least two receiving touchdowns, but 0-3 otherwise.

DasCHE now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Mercy Culture Prep, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-3 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. DasCHE will welcome Oklahoma City Patriots HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mercy Culture Prep, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Live Oak Classical at 7:00 p.m. on the 18th.
