Volleyball Recap: Valley Oaks CES Starts Season with Loss at Home

Valley Oaks CES unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the New West Charter Eagles on Saturday.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-20.

The win was the third in a row for New West Charter, bringing their record up to 6-2.

Coming up, Valley Oaks CES will challenge Lakeview Charter at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The match will give the Vanguards their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for New West Charter, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Waverly on the 13th.
