Niobrara County is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Wyoming's top teams: Pine Bluffs, who was ranked third at the time (Niobrara County was ranked 18th). The Tigers were dealt a 65-0 defeat at the hands of the Hornets on Friday. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Tigers were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Lingle-Fort Laramie entered their tilt with Southeast on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They claimed a resounding 49-7 victory over the Cyclones. That looming 49-7 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Doggers yet this season.

Niobrara County's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Lingle-Fort Laramie, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Niobrara County took a serious blow against Lingle-Fort Laramie in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, falling 61-13. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
