Volleyball Recap: Creekside Comes Up Short

Creekside was the 3-1 winner over Fletcher when they last played one another back in October of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. The Knights took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Senators on Monday. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Creekside was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Fletcher work for it, especially in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 23-25, 25-19, 27-25.

Ashton Kirton was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 31 digs and one assist. Those 31 digs gave her a new career-high.

Creekside's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Fletcher, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 20-2.

Looking ahead, Creekside will welcome Tocoi Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fletcher, they will head out on the road to take on Paxon School For Advanced Studies at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
