Preview: Triplains/Brewster Titans vs. Ashland Blue Jays
After each having a week off, The Triplains/Brewster Titans and the Ashland Blue Jays will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 6:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Triplains/Brewster had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took their game on the road two weeks ago with ease, bagging a 39-7 victory over Greeley County. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Triplains/Brewster's zero-point performance the contest before.
Meanwhile, Ashland had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34.5 points), and they went ahead and made it five two weeks ago. They claimed a resounding 61-6 win over Chetopa at home. With Ashland ahead 61-6 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Landen McPhail continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, picking up 83 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while also punching in two touchdowns on the ground. Briggs Grady also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Their wins bumped Triplains/Brewster to 3-5 and Ashland to 7-1.
