Baseball Recap: Conneaut Spartans vs. Edgewood Warriors
Conneaut had lost seven straight at home dating back to last season, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 0-10 to make it eight. They came up short against the Edgewood Warriors, falling 14-1. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 15, 2023, but that streak is no more.
Conneaut saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chetti Arcaro, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI. That double was Arcaro's first of the season.
As for Edgewood, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games.
