Baseball Recap: Mitchell Comes Up Short

Mitchell and Eastern squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Mitchell had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Musketeers by a score of 2-1. The Bluejackets' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Dasen Kerr made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Mitchell's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Eastern, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Mitchell nor Eastern have any future games scheduled.
