Middle Tennessee Christian won the last time they faced Tipton-Rosemark Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The Cougars walked away with a 35-28 win over the Rebels.

Middle Tennessee Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alie Bangura led the charge by rushing for 128 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. Riley Brown also helped out as he racked up 108 rushing yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Middle Tennessee Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 264 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 167 rushing yards in five consecutive contests.

Middle Tennessee Christian is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.6 points over those games. As for Tipton-Rosemark Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

Middle Tennessee Christian will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Providence Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st. The LIONS will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last. As for Tipton-Rosemark Academy, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 17-7 defeat against University School of Jackson on the 24th.
