Soccer Game Preview: Hancock vs. Chicago Washington

The Hancock Eagles will take on the Chicago Washington Patriots at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hancock's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Hancock's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Oak Lawn 1-0. One seems to be a good number for Hancock as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Meanwhile, while the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Von Steuben who was credited with the win on Monday. The Panthers got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to Chicago Washington's one.

Chicago Washington has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11-1 record this season. As for Hancock, their victory bumped their record up to 4-10.

Everything went Hancock's way against Chicago Washington in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Hancock made off with a 4-0 win. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Patriots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
