Football Recap: Jayden Marshall Leads Mccutcheon's Defense on Friday

McCutcheon lost against Harrison back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mavericks took a hard 21-7 fall against the Raiders. The Mavericks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Even if they lost, McCutcheon's defense still kept up the pressure with four sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Jayden Marshall. He also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 11.

Harrison's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Zion Clopton led the charge by rushing for 101 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries. Lannon Nicoloff was another key signal caller, throwing for 82 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 84.6% of his passes.

McCutcheon's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Harrison, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McCutcheon will face off against Terre Haute South Vigo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Harrison, they will challenge Indianapolis Bishop Chatard at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans' defense has only allowed 14.8 points per game this season, so the Raiders' offense will have their work cut out for them.
