Basketball Recap: Logansport Comes Up Short

Logansport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They took a blow against the Northfield Norsemen, falling 53-24. The Berries were down 41-17 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Logansport lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Golda Kitchell, who posted four points and seven rebounds. Kitchell is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.

Even though they lost, Logansport smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.

Northfield's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Elli Baker, who had 13 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Callie Hoffman, who put up nine points and eight rebounds.

Logansport's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Northfield, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-4.

Logansport wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 53-36 loss against West Lafayette on the 19th. As for Northfield, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-47 defeat against Wabash on the 21st.
