Basketball Game Preview: Cross Creek Razorbacks vs. Baldwin Braves

The Cross Creek Razorbacks will head out on the road to take on the Baldwin Braves at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Baldwin will be up against a hot Cross Creek team: the squad just extended their winning streak to 11. Cross Creek breezed by West Laurens to the tune of 78-11 on Tuesday. Given the Razorbacks' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 181st, while the Raiders are ranked 417th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Baldwin had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 47.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 59-28 victory over the Huskies.

Cross Creek has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.4 points per game. As for Baldwin, they pushed their record up to 17-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Cross Creek was dealt a bruising 63-29 loss at the hands of Baldwin in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can Cross Creek avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
