Crest takes loss despite strong efforts from Ryan Golden and Rogan Weir

Recap: Crest Lancers vs. Northeast Vikings
The Crest Lancers were the 45-30 winner over the Northeast Vikings when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Crest took a 43-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Northeast on Tuesday.
Crest's loss came despite strong showings from Rogan Weir and Ryan Golden. Weir scored 13 points along with two steals, while Golden scored 13 points along with seven rebounds. That was a full 37.1% of Crest's points, marking the eighth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Drake Weir, who scored two points along with two steals.
Crest now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Northeast, their win bumped their record up to 4-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crest will challenge Oswego at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Oswego focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 30 last Friday. As for Northeast, they will head out on the road to challenge Yates Center at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Yates Center is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
