Camarillo has gone 9-1 against Royal recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Scorpions will be playing at home against the Highlanders at 3:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Camarillo took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past Birmingham 11-1. The Scorpions haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Royal beat Ventura 12-7 on Thursday.

Mikaela Jones was a standout: she went 2-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Josephine Gallo, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Camarillo's victory bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Royal, their win bumped their record up to 4-12.

Camarillo was able to grind out a solid victory over Royal when the teams last played back in April of 2025, winning 11-8. Will the Scorpions repeat their success, or do the Highlanders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
