Royal Valley had lost three games straight , but after bumping their record up to 2-3 on Monday that streak is in the rearview. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Sabetha Bluejays. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

As for Sabetha, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Sabetha's part, Chloe Detweiler spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on ten hits. Detweiler has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Sabetha saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kiera Keim, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Bluejays beat Royal Valley by a score of 11-3 later that day.
