Softball Game Preview: Western Warriors vs. Cheyenne Desert Shields

Western hasn't had much luck against Cheyenne recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Warriors will challenge the Desert Shields at 3:30 p.m. Western has given up an average of 16.9 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Western lost 19-5 to Del Sol on Wednesday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Cheyenne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Moapa Valley, falling 22-3.

Western's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Cheyenne, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.

Western suffered a grim 21-7 defeat to Cheyenne in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
