Volleyball Recap: Discovery Canyon Extends Winning Streak to Three

Discovery Canyon entered their tilt with Lutheran on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Lions 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in February.

Discovery Canyon was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-21, 25-16.

Brennan Miles paced Discovery Canyon's offense, picking up 11 kills. Miles got some help from Ben Le and his 23 assists. Miles was also solid from the service line: he led the team with five aces.

Discovery Canyon's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Lutheran, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Discovery Canyon is set to face off against their familiar foe Mesa Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lutheran will square off against rival Doherty at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
