While Palmyra-Macedon didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 15-13 win over the Newark Reds on Wednesday. The Red Raiders haven't had any issues with the Reds recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Addi Gendron, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Shelby Geer, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Palmyra-Macedon's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Newark, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Coming up, Palmyra-Macedon will venture away from home to face off against Wayne at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Red Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season. As for Newark, they will welcome Lyons at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
