Softball Preview: McGregor Bulldogs vs. Whitney Wildcats
For the second straight game, McGregor will face off against Whitney. The Bulldogs will welcome the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. McGregor is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.5 runs per game this season.
McGregor will bounce into Thursday's game after beating Whitney, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 12-1 win on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Bulldogs needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.
Khloe Peterson made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Brylee Seward was incredible, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 3-for-5. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Layla Goff, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Whitney is on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12-1. As for McGregor, their victory bumped their record up to 21-3.
