Colorado Academy is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Colorado's top teams: Prospect Ridge Academy, who was ranked 23rd at the time (Colorado Academy was ranked seventh). The Mustangs put the hurt on the Miners with a sharp 6-0 win on Tuesday. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Colorado Academy's offense was hitting Prospect Ridge Academy from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Celina Frenz led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Stargate School unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They and Peak to Peak finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw.

Colorado Academy pushed their record up to 11-1-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five games. Stargate School's draw gives them a new season record of 6-5-2.

Colorado Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Stargate School in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 2-0. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
