Volleyball Recap: Brush Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Brush was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Liberty Common last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Beetdiggers came up short against the Platte Valley Broncos on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Beetdiggers of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

While Brush ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 21 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-23, 25-22.

Their offense was headlined by Neveah Speicher and Larkyn Queen, who picked up nine kills apiece. They were helped by Taryn Wickham and Brailey Rudnik, who contributed ten assists each.

With the loss, Brush broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 7-11. As for Platte Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.
