Basketball Recap: Douglass Takes a Loss

On Tuesday, the Douglass Indians were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 49-45 to the Saltillo Lions. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Douglass' loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Saltillo, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-6.

Douglass and Saltillo should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Douglass (ranked 303rd) will meet New Summerfield (ranked 1553rd) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Saltillo will square off against Sulphur Bluff at 6:30 p.m. on Friday up 779 places (295 vs. 1074).
