Baseball Game Preview: Windsor Jaguars vs. Justin-Siena Braves

The Windsor Jaguars will square off against the Justin-Siena Braves at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Windsor is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Saturday. They were the clear victor by an 8-1 margin over Inderkum. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Jaguars as it put an end to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Micah Sanders made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over 5.2 innings pitched. Sanders was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his five plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Lucas Adriano was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Jaydon Metzger, who scored a run while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Justin-Siena put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past St. Helena 8-1.

Griffin Messenger tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Tommy Malloy, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Braeden Butler was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.
