Nonnewaug is on a 17-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Northwestern Regional is on a six-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Chiefs will welcome the Highlanders at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Nonnewaug knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past ten contests -- so hopefully Northwestern Regional likes a good challenge.
On Tuesday, Nonnewaug made easy work of Thomaston and carried off an 11-4 victory. The result was nothing new for the Chiefs, who have now won 17 matches by six runs or more so far this season.
