Baseball Recap: Van Comes Up Short

Van was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 18-3 to the St. Joseph Central Irish. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Irish this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-6 on Thursday.

Van saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Easton Moore, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Moore hit this season.

Van's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for St. Joseph Central, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.

Looking ahead, Van will challenge Mount View at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Joseph Central, they have already played their next contest, an 11-1 win against Sherman on the 28th.
