MaxPreps Top 25 high school volleyball rankings

Oregon's Jesuit wins 100th straight match, remains No. 3; Blue Valley West, Oak Ridge remain top two.

Blue Valley West remained No. 1 for the second straight week in Maxpreps Xcellent Volleyball Rankings presented by the U.S. Army National Guard.

The Jaguars swept three opponents and earned the No. 1 seed in this weekend's Kansas State 6A Championships.

Oak Ridge and Jesuit, both unbeaten, continue to put pressure on Blue Valley.

Oak Ridge won its eighth-straight game without losing a set and Jesuit ran its win streak to 100. Jesuit finished the 2015 Maxpreps Xcellent Poll ranked No. 2 behind Indianapolis Cathedral. Jesuit finished No. 5 in 2014.



New to the Top 10 this week is Novi, winners of 24 in a row.

New to the Top 25 this week are Brentwood, Memorial and Ventura.

1. (1 last week) Blue Valley West (Stilwell, Kan.), 39-0
Blue Valley West swept three opponents by a combined 150-82 in Section Tournament action last weekend. Up next: State 6A Tournament on Friday.

2. (2) Oak Ridge (Conroe, Texas), 42-0
The War Eagles road into the postseason with eight-straight 3-0 wins.

3. (3) Jesuit (Portland, Ore.), 31-0
With 3-0 wins over Glencoe (Hillsboro, Ore.) and Portland rival Sunset, the Crusaders ran their win streak to 100. During that span, Jesuit has lost only eight sets.

4. (4) Mother McAuley (Chicago, Ill.), 33-1
Winners of 25 straight, McAuley has lost seven sets this season (the lone loss was in a 2-1 win over No. 13 Assumption of Louisville on Oct. 1).

5. (6) Lewis-Palmer (Monument, Colo.), 19-0
L-P ended the regular season with wins over Colorado Springs foes Sand Creek and Cheyenne Mountain. The Ranges, who were 29-0 in 2014, haven't lost a set since Aug. 30.



6. (9) Penfield (N.Y.), 42-0
The Patriots, who have won 99 of 101 sets this season, open Class AA Section Quarter-finals on Friday.

7. (7) Yorktown (Ind.), 33-1
Winning their first three games of the State 3A tournament, the Tigers have won 23 in a row. On Tuesday, the meet 26-9 Bellmont (Decatur).

8. (8) Bishop Moore (Orlando, Fla.), 22-1
The Hornets ran their win streak to eight and meet Titusville on Tuesday in the Regional quarterfinal.

9. (10) Cox Mill (Concord, N.C.), 28-0
The Chargers completed the regular season unbeaten and open round one of the postseason on Wednesday.

10. (11) Novi (Mich.), 34-1
Defending large school champion Novi has won 24 straight and captured its fourth-straight KLAA Conference title.

11. (13) Santa Margarita (Calif.), 27-4
Behind Meghan McClure's 26 kills, Santa Margarita beat Mater Dei for the third time this season.



12. (15) Marian Central Catholic (Woodstock, Ill.), 34-1
Led by setter Mckayla Wuensch, the Hurricanes enter the postseason riding an 18-match winning streak.

13. (14)  Assumption (Louisville, Ky.), 31-5
Anna Palmer had seven aces as the Rockets defeated Male, 3-0, to capture the District 26 title. Up next: Region 7 play.

14. (17) Midway (Waco, Texas), 38-2
The Panthers have won 34 in a row as they playoffs near.

15. (16) Sacred Heart (Louisville, Ky.), 33-4
The Valkryries recorded a pair of 3-0 wins to the win the 27th District title and move on to Region 7 play..

16. (18) Skutt Catholic (Omaha, Neb.), 34-0
The Skyhawks will close the regular season on Tuesday at 13-10 Scotus (Columbus, Neb.).

17. (19) Dorman (Roebuck, S.C.), 41-2
The Cavaliers open the first round of the State 5A playoffs on Thursday against Northwestern (Rock Hill, S.C.).



18. (22) Geneva (Ill.), 30-1
The Vikings open Regional play on Wednesday.

19. (23) Howell (St. Charles, Mo.), 35-1-1
The Vikings opened the postseason by running their win streak to 23 with wins over Timberland (Wentzville, Mo.) and Parkway West (Ballwin, Mo.). Up next: 27-9 Ozark (Mo.) in the State 4A semifinals on Friday.

20. (20) West Valley (Yakima, Wash.), 26-0
Jillian Berg produced 28 kills and 17 digs, Parker Webb added 17 kills and 27 digs and Erica Meyer totaled 57 assists and 15 digs as the Rams held off Mead (Spokane, Wash.), 23-25, 25-22, 25-28, 25-20, 15-5.

21. (NR) Brentwood (Tenn.), 50-4
Winners of 23 straight, Brentwood captured the state large school title and has won 263 of its last 281 matches. It was the Bruins fourth-straight title.

22. (NR) Edmond Memorial (Edmond, Okla.), 33-2
Led by senior Alli Evans, Memorial captured the State 6A title and ran its win streak to 25 in a row. Evans (Tulsa commit) was named tournament MVP.

23. (NR) Ventura (Calif.), 30-2
Led by senior Sammy Slater, Ventura swept the field in the Santa Barbara TOC last weekend.



24. (5) Eagan (Minn.), 22-1
The Wildcats saw their 28-match win streak end as Champlin Park avenged an early-season loss with a 2-1 win.

25. (12) Archbishop Mitty (San Jose, Calif.), 29-4
Mitty lost to No. 23 Ventura in semi-finals of Santa Barbara TOC.
