Taylor had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Finneytown on Wednesday. The Yellowjackets put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Yellowjackets, who have now won five contests in a row.

Taylor's win bumped their record up to 20-2. As for Finneytown, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Taylor and Roger Bacon will shake off the rust and duke it out at 2:00 p.m. on the 18th. As for Finneytown, they will take on Reading at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
