Baseball Game Preview: LaGrange Gators vs. Opelousas Tigers

The LaGrange Gators will head out to face off against the Opelousas Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for LaGrange and five for Opelousas.

LaGrange came up short against Eunice on Tuesday, falling 13-3.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Wednesday. Opelousas lost 15-0 to St. Martinville. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Opelousas' defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for LaGrange, their loss dropped their record down to 3-14.

Everything went LaGrange's way against Opelousas in their previous matchup back in April of 2015, as LaGrange made off with a 14-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for LaGrange since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
