            Two dominant  guards in  Ashlyn Evans and  Leah DeWitt are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. Having just played yesterday, the James F. Byrnes Rebels will jump right back in to play the Marietta Blue Devils  at 5:30  p.m.  on Saturday. James F. Byrnes is coming into the  contest on  a  three-game losing streak.
James F. Byrnes saw some tournament action  on Friday. They took  a  51-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Morrow. The  match marked the Rebels' lowest-scoring  game so far this season.
Meanwhile, Marietta was able to grind out a solid  win over East Paulding two weeks ago, taking the game  59-48.
James F. Byrnes better focus on containing  DeWitt and  Kyann Senior as the pair were huge in Marietta's win. DeWitt  went 12 for 22  on her way to 26  points and eight  rebounds, while  Senior  dropped  a double-double on 19 points and 15  rebounds. The  contest was  DeWitt's 12th in a row with at least ten points.  Janiah Scott was another key player,  putting up seven  points and three  steals.
 Marietta  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 13  offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least eight  offensive rebounds in 12 consecutive  matchups.
 Marietta's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for James F. Byrnes, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.
