DeSoto Central sees their postseason come to a close

Recap: DeSoto Central vs. Clinton
The DeSoto Central Jaguars and the Clinton Arrows squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but sadly the DeSoto Central Jaguars had to settle for second. Their tough 7-0 defeat to the Arrows might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, DeSoto Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi soccer rankings (they are ranked 47th, while Clinton is ranked first).
DeSoto Central has not been sharp recently as the team has lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10-2 record this season. As for Clinton, their victory bumped their record up to 18-1-4.
DeSoto Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Clinton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hernando at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hernando is coming into the contest with three straight wins on the road, so Clinton is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
