Basketball Recap: East Central Takes a Loss

East Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 47-38 to the Hamilton Heights Huskies. If the Trojans were looking for revenge after losing 57-53 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, East Central still got an impressive performance from Peyton Hofer, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 12 points and seven rebounds. What's more, Hofer also racked up four assists, the most he's had since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Cole Reynolds, who posted 12 points and five rebounds.

East Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Hamilton Heights, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-5.

East Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 47-46 loss against Switzerland County on the 28th. As for Hamilton Heights, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 79-56 victory against Trinity Lutheran on the 28th.
