Soccer Game Preview: South vs. Thunder Basin

South hasn't had much luck against Thunder Basin recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Bison will venture away from home to face off against the Bolts at 2:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

South is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Wyoming's top teams: Laramie, who was ranked ninth at the time (South was ranked 20th). The Bison lost 4-0 to the Plainsmen on Tuesday. The matchup was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly South struggled afterwards.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Thunder Basin's offense. They fell just short of Sheridan by a score of 1-0 back in April. The loss continues a trend for Thunder Basin in their meetings with Sheridan: they've now lost four in a row.

South is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10. As for Thunder Basin, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

South suffered a grim 8-0 defeat to Thunder Basin in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Bison avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
